OPEN CALL 2027: BODIES IN RELATION

Der Körper war nie nur Abbild in der Kunst. Er ist Ort von Erfahrung, Projektion und Widerstand. Verzogene Linien, aufgelöste Konturen, vibrierende Umräume. 

Uns interessieren künstlerische Positionen, die vom menschlichen Körper ausgehen: als Ort, in dem sich Wahrnehmung, Erinnerung, Schmerz, Erschöpfung oder Begehren einschreiben; als etwas, das sich verändert, reagiert und Spuren trägt. Eingeladen sind Arbeiten, die den Körper als politischen und sozialen Raum verhandeln. Im Spannungsfeld von Nähe und Distanz, zwischen Subjekt und Kollektiv, im Öffentlichen und dem Digitalen.

Willkommen, sind Beiträge in allen Medien – von Malerei und Zeichnung über Fotografie bis hin zu Performance, Installation und Objekt.

WER
Der Open Call richtet sich an Künstler:innen und Kollektive, die Ausstellungskonzepte für Einzel- oder Gruppenausstellungen einreichen möchten. Bevorzugt werden Konzepte welche durch Veranstaltungen wie z.b. Führungen Workshops, Artist, Talks, Vorträge und Lesungen ergänzt werden

WIR
Wir sind eine nicht-kommerzielle Offspace-Galerie. Unser kleiner Ausstellungsraum liegt mitten in St. Georg und ist ein ehemaliges Ladengeschäft. Wir setzen uns dafür ein, eine Plattform zu bieten für den Austausch über Kunst, zwischen Künstler:innen und Publikum sowie zwischen Künstler:innen untereinander und der Nachbarschaft. Die Realisierung der Ausstellung erfolgt im Rahmen unserer Möglichkeiten. Wenn Fördermittel bewilligt werden, ist eine Vergütung vorgesehen.

The body has never been merely a representation in art. It is a site of experience, projection, and resistance. Distorted lines, blurred contours, vibrating spaces.

We are interested in artistic positions that take the human body as their starting point: as a site where perception, memory, pain, exhaustion, or desire are inscribed; as something that changes, reacts, and bears traces. We invite works that negotiate the body as a political and social space—in the tension between proximity and distance, between the individual and the collective, in the public sphere and the digital realm.

Contributions in all media are welcome—from painting and drawing to photography, performance, installation, and objects.

WHO CAN SUBMIT
This open call is aimed at artists and collectives who would like to submit exhibition proposals for solo or group exhibitions. Proposaly that may include events such as guided tours, workshops, artist talks, lectures, and readings will be prioritized in the selection.

WE
We are a non-commercial off-space gallery. Our small exhibition space is located in the heart of St. Georg and is a former retail store. We are committed to providing a platform for dialogue about art—between artists and the public, among artists themselves, and with the neighborhood. The exhibition is organized within the limits of our resources. If funding is approved, compensation will be provided.
